Street Hoops Social Comp - Is Back for Term 3, 2026

 

Street Hoops is returning for 6 weeks in Term 3 for a special Under 8s !

If your child is aged 5 - 7 and looking for something fun and active to do afterschool - come and give Street Hoops Basketball a go! *Outside of this age group? Check out Friday afternoon scrimmage at Vonda Youngman!

Street Hoops is a mixed training and social game competition designed for new kids who enjoy basketball.

​​​

The competition is social and designed for kids to develop self-confidence, agility, peripheral vision, spatial awareness, team building & mate ship,  technical skills and resilience. These are also skills that help their off-season development for other sports.

​

Register as an individual or grab your school friends and submit a partial or whole team of your mates.

Games will be played with modified rules, including:

​

• Each hoop is modified to 9ft from the standard 10ft (improves form shooting and self-confidence)

• Players work with a coach designated for their age group and skill level

• Referees explain each call to help with understanding the rules of the game
