Street Hoops Under 10 School Term Social Comp!

We are excited to announce Street Hoops Under 10's after school social basketball competition begining this school term! If your child is age 7, 8 or 9 and looking for something fun and active to do afterschool - come and give Street Hoops Basketball a go!


Street Hoops is 9 teams for separated girls, boys and mixed competition designed for new kids who enjoy basketball.

 

The format is 4v4 with a maximum of 2 bench players per team.

The competition is social and designed for kids to develop skills that help their off-season development for other sports, which includes self-confidence, agility, peripheral vision, spatial awareness, team building & mate ship,  technical skills and reaction time as they develop friendships personal connections in a fun and inclusive environment.

Register as an individual or grab your school friends and submit a whole team of your mates.

Games will be played with modified rules, including:

  • Each hoop is modified to 9ft from the standard 10ft (improves form shooting and self-confidence)

  • One coach per team on court for games to help directing play

  • Referees explain each call to help with understanding the rules of the game 

Teams can be all girls, all boys or a mix of both.


 

THE PROGRAM - STARTS OCTOBER 16

Wednesdays 4.00pm - 6.00pm at TMSS Outdoor Basketball Courts

Week 1 & 2 Skills + Drills and Games (50/50 game / skill development)

Week 3 - 8 Games​ (80/20 game / skill development)

Cost: $150

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • 9 teams with 6 players (max) in each team who will be allocated a teams colour: Teal Wolves, Black Wolves, Red Wolves, Orange Wolves, White Wolves, Pink Wolves

  • ​Players T-shirt in the colour of your team will be provided by the Wolves.

  • An appointed qualified coach to support skill development and referee to each team

  • BBQ & Award Celebration on the last week

 

REGISTRATION

Please complete your EOI to play as either an individual or a complete team. If you are coming into the competition as an individual we will allocate you to a team.

Registration fees will be due in the first week. Afterpay and Fairplay Vouchers are accepted.​
