CHANGES IN 2024 ~ the Seahawks have introduced some new changes for 2024 namely Age Groups and Game Days. Please read till the end and make a note of the changes.
🏀 NEW AGE GROUPS: North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball has released new age groups to align with BQ representative age groups (also allowing players to play with correct ball sizes across both club and rep levels). This means whatever age cohort your player is in now, they will remain the same group (ie: All U13 players will be in U14 next year. All U11 will be in U12, etc). See attached infographics.
🏀 GAME DAY CHANGES:
💥 THURSDAY - U12 Girls, U14 Girls, Superleague Girls (U16G-U20G)
💥 FRIDAY - U16 Boys, U18 Boys
💥 SATURDAY - U8 Mixed, U10 Boys & Girls (potentially mixed if required), U12 Boys, U14 Boys
💥 SUNDAY - U20 Boys
🏀 FINALS IN WEEK 2 OF WINTER HOLIDAYS: Later start for Season 1, 2024 means the finals will run into week 2 of the mid year school holidays.
🏀 REGISTRATION: Season 1 2024 registrations will open at the end of November.
🏀 SEASON 1, 2024 TRIALS: will occur mid January, details TBA.
